Application Architect

  • Position: Applications Architect
  • Location: Tallahassee, FL (on-site)
  • Compensation: $130,000 W2 OR ($75 – $80/hr C2C OR 1099)

Experience:

  • A minimum of 7 years of experience in multiple IT areas and
  • 2โ€“3 years of relevant Application architect experience.
  • Requires advanced to expert-level knowledge and understanding of architecture, applications systems design, and integration.
  • Experience providing design recommendations based on long-term IT organization strategy.
  • Experience developing enterprise-level applications and custom integration solutions, including major enhancements, interfaces, functions, and features.
  • Experience using a variety of platforms to provide automated systems applications.
  • Experience providing expertise regarding the integration of applications across the Department.
  • Experience determining specifications, plans, designs, and developing the most complex and business-critical software solutions, utilizing appropriate software engineering processesโ€”either individually or in collaboration with the project team.
  • Experience developing programming and development standards and procedures, as well as programming architectures for code reuse.
  • Experience with state-of-the-art programming languages and object-oriented approaches in designing, coding, testing, and debugging programs.
  • Experience in researching and maintaining knowledge of emerging technologies and their potential applications to the Department.
  • Experience assisting in resolving difficult support problems.
  • Experience understanding and consistently applying the attributes and processes of current application development methodologies.
  • Experience acting as a technical expert across multiple disciplines, as well as serving as an internal consultant, advocate, mentor, and change agent.
  • Experience as a .NET full-stack developer.
  • Experience ensuring application performance and security standards through best practices.
  • Proficient in speaking and writing in the English language.
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills.

Scope of work:

  • Provide design recommendations based on long-term IT organization strategy.

  • Provide expertise regarding the integration of applications across the Department.
  • Determine specifications, then plan, design, and develop the most complex and business-critical software solutions, utilizing appropriate software engineering processesโ€”either individually or in concert with the project team.
  • Develop programming and development standards and procedures, as well as programming architectures for code reuse.
  • Possess in-depth knowledge of state-of-the-art programming languages and object-oriented approaches in designing, coding, testing, and debugging programs.
  • Understand and consistently apply the attributes and processes of current application development methodologies.
  • Research and maintain knowledge of emerging technologies and possible applications for the Department.
